The Kuroshio Sea

Let it finish loading before you push play. Watch it in the dark, full sized on the biggest screen you have available. It's breathtaking.

The Kuroshio Sea is the world's second largest aquarium. It is at the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, located in Okinawa, Japan.

The film was shot by Jon Rawlinson, a Canadian filmmaker.

It reminds me of futuristic cars going down the skylanes at various altitudes in sci-fi movies, but in a nice cerulean outer space. Everything is so graceful: the little fish, the manta rays, the whale sharks, even the scuba diver. The song ("Please Don't Go" by Barcelona) is a little cheesy, but it works. I would have chosen a song with an epic feel by Sigur Rรณs or M83. What would you have chosen?

This is amazing, but you're right, a Sigur Ros song would have been much more appropriate, or perhaps "Deep Blue Sea" by Grizzly Bear.
